TREMEC approves the following fluids for all of their 5 and 6-speed transmissions: TREMEC HP-MTF, Pennzoil Synchromesh, Dexron III/Mercon ATF (non-synthetic), and Mobil 1 ATF. We recommend the ATF fluid for break-in and the TREMEC or Pennzoil fluid thereafter.
Approved fluids for the A41 and A41X automatic transmissions are Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF or Dexron III/Mercon ATF (non-synthetic). We recommend Mobil 1 Synthetic.

We get some form of this question all the time, but there are no exceptions to this rule! First, failure to measure and correct your bellhousing runout will void your warranty with both TREMEC and SST. Second, the tolerance is .005”; that’s about the width of a dollar bill! A misaligned bellhousing can result in complete failure of the transmission. Protect your investment by performing this quick and simple procedure.
