The TREMEC T-5 is designed to operate exclusively with high-quality Dexron III / Mercon Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF). Do not use heavy gear oil or synthetic gear lubricants in the T-5, as these heavy weights can impede the operation of the carbon-fiber and brass synchronizer rings, leading to hard shifting and premature wear. After the break-in period, we recommend Synchromesh.

First, failure to measure and correct your bellhousing runout will void your warranty with both TREMEC and SST. Second, the tolerance is .005”; that’s about the width of a dollar bill!
